Mary Margaret "Maggie" Cleary is currently serving as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney in Culpeper. Originally from Springfield, Virginia, Maggie is proud to be a seventh generation Virginian. Maggie graduated cum laude from Georgetown University in 2014 before attending UVA Law. During her third year in law school, Maggie participated in the Prosecution Clinic and was placed in Culpeper. She loved Culpeper so much that she hasn't left. Maggie is currently the owner of a seven-acre farm in the county (officially making her a "Farm-her") and a frequent flier at Raven's Nest. Since becoming a full time resident of "the Pep," Maggie has served on the Board of Scholarship Monte Carlo, been a tutor at Culpeper Literacy Council, and a running buddy for Girls on the Run. She also volunteers as an alumni interviewer for Georgetown. As of March 2020, she is currently the Vice Chair of the Culpeper County Republican Committee. Maggie is excited to be founding Leader Launch with one of her best friends.
Brittany Mabrey grew up in Montana before moving to Florida where she earned her BAS in Business and organizational structures. Brittany moved to Culpeper to open her first business as a restaurant owner/operator. After finding a commercial property for sale on historic Davis Street she purchased her second and current business, Raven’s Nest Coffee House. Brittany has lead fundraising efforts for SAFE, services for abused families as well as Culpeper Police Department’s Blue and Red Santa project. Brittany has been nominated “Entrepreneur of The Year” and has received multiple awards for best business, best new business, and best customer service amongst others. Brittany and Maggie have shared a passion for civic involvement and are excited to bring their combined experience to “Leader Launch”!
